Hi, I’m Emily
I want to help you feel a little less shitty.
Life is hard enough on its own. When someone is already carrying years of stress, unpredictability, loss, fear, or having to hold everything together, the day-to-day demands of relationships, work, family, health, and simply being a person can become a lot.
The world also feels especially overwhelming right now. There is constant noise, uncertainty, pressure, and very little room to fall apart. Everyone has their own version of the shit they are trying to get through, and sometimes the ways that once helped a person survive are the same things now leaving them anxious, shut down, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves.
I am interested in helping people make sense of what they are carrying, how it has shaped them, and what might make life feel more manageable, connected, and their own.
Who I Work With
I work with sensitive, creative humans, people who have often felt different or outside of things, and those who have spent a lot of energy trying to understand where they fit.
Many are thoughtful, perceptive, imaginative, and deeply affected by other people, their environment, and the state of the world. Some struggle with anxious attachment, rejection sensitivity, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, low motivation, or feeling disconnected from a sense of purpose. For some, stress and emotional experiences also show up physically through tension, shutdown, exhaustion, digestive distress, chronic discomfort, or difficulty settling.
I also work with people who know they want something to change but feel stuck, depleted, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin.
I work with couples and other important relationships navigating recurring conflict, disconnection, attachment differences, communication difficulties, and the challenge of staying connected without losing themselves.
The people drawn to my work often want to feel less alienated from themselves and one another, and more able to live with clarity, connection, and a sense of direction.
My Services
-
I love working with people who are new to therapy, people who are in couples therapy and want some additional support of their own, and fellow healers, leaders, and teachers who need a place to unpack their own stuff so they can show up more fully in their lives and work.
-
I work with people who are trying to heal ruptures in their relationships and find new ways to communicate. Together, we work toward a third language that can help bridge differences and create more connection.
-
I currently run two (full) groups for women with body image concerns and body focused repetitive behaviors. I am also in the process of forming a therapeutic group focusing on interpersonal relationships for folks who are finding it difficult to find their "tribe".
-
I offer consultation, mentorship, and coaching for therapists and other healers who want a fresh perspective on current cases, professional challenges, or the ongoing work of building a practice.
